The Buffalo Infringement Festival is now accepting applications

The Buffalo Infringement Festival is now accepting applications for

the 2010 festival from July 22 to August 1st. Submissions may be made

online. The deadline is May 15th.

The Buffalo Infringement Festival is coming! This is the festival's

the sixth year and has gained a lot of popularity. The Infringement

Festival started in Montreal, but Buffalo has grown to be the largest

infringement festival in the world. Other cities participating are

Montreal, Hamilton, Brooklyn,

and Regina, France. Last year there were over 500 local and regional

artists, with hundreds performances in over 50 venues in and around

Allentown and the Elmwood Village.

The Buffalo Infringement Festival brings together a broad range of

eclectic, independent, experimental, and controversial art of all

forms. It is a non-profit-driven, non-hierarchical grassroots endeavor

organized by volunteers in our community. Infringement continues its

three-fold mission of providing exposure to regional artists, building

relationships with local venues and creating space for public art. The

2010 festival is from July 22 to August 1 when emerging and

established artists of all genres come together to infringe in the

venues and streets of Buffalo.
