Delaware Park
This sprawling park is the perfect place to enjoy the great outdoors all year long..
Overview
Nestled between a bustling expressway and serene neighborhoods, Delaware Park is the jewel of Buffalo's north side. Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted--best known for designing New York City's Central Park--the park is a majestic wonder held sacred by locals, expatriates and visitors. Stretching over 350 acres, the park is home to Hoyt Lake, a golf course, rose garden, summer Shakespeare festival, a variety of walking trails, baseball diamonds and much, much more.
The Experience
During summer, thousands enjoy in-line skating, jogging, picnics or just lounging around this beautiful natural space. Paddleboat rides and a banquet facility are available for rental. Delaware Park also hosts the annual Winterfest, with tons of ice-skating, ice-sculpting and glorious local cuisine.
LOVE IS INTHE AIR!!. My Husband and I as teenagers would go to delaware and spen some quality time talkignand having picnics. We made some beautiful memories there. The park is so serene and family oriented. My dad and I went to se shakespere in the park every year. The zoo is where I took my children and then we would even walk or lightly jog around the track. If there was ever a place for family ..it is delaware park.
