TONY WALKER APOTHECARY IS A DIRTY MESS
by buffaloshopper
My first impression of the store was that it was a terrible mess, and one of the girls sitting on her computer was eating oatmeal. It was repulsive. I tried to ignore her but she rudely interrupted the young salesgirl helping me. She not only embarrassed the young girl by telling her she was wrong (it turns out she actually wasn't wrong) but she looked ridiculous yelling at other workers in front of customers for no reason. Then as she walked away she began talking another salesgirls about her boobjob! She didn't even look like she worked there based on her sweaty workout clothes and dirty messy hair. She was very unprofessional. Great skincare products, but buy them online to avoid a rude uncomfortable experience. (flies EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
- Pros: great products
- Cons: hate the manager, HATE the flies
Overpriced, over-rated and over with
by Rotterman
Poor customer service, horrible return policy that isn't posted. Clerks are trained with the "don't ask, don't tell" philosophy. Made a large purchase and was dissatisfied with the discoloration during wear. Was told it was a "fashion" item and not made for Buffalo weather and the elements. No more in stock and could not order from the manufacturer. Offered store credit only. Got the "used car salesman" run-around, spoke with tow individuals who had poor interpersonal skill and were not at all empathetic to my needs or concerns for the money that I spent. Do yourself a favor and shop in Chicago, NYC or LA. On-line manufacturer direct is even a better bet if you know what you want and the size. Yes Virginia, there is a Satan Caluse and his name is Tony Walker and the Advantage Co. He steals your money and your patience. The experience was dreadful and I will never darken their door again.
- Pros: Brand Names
- Cons: Last Season and way over-priced/ Poor customer relations
BUYERS BEWARE -- HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, HORRIBLE PEOPLE
by tonywalkeristheworst
I read "tonywalkerisascam's" review and it sounds eerily similar. In fact, I was in over the weekend to exchange a dress I purchased in mid-January ? I am from Cleveland (but visit from time to time) ? once I returned home from my Jan. visit, I realized the dress wasn?t right to wear at the occasion for which I bought it. So, I called the store, spoke to a helpful gentleman named ?Anthony? who told me that because I was from out of town, they would be more lenient with the return policy and allow me to exchange it or receive store credit upon my travelling to Buffalo this past weekend. He assured me that I would have no trouble, that they would ?take care of me." The dress sat in my closet for 2 weeks, all tags on in the original garmet bag. When I got to the store this past Friday, I explained to the store manager Brian, that I had spoken to "Anthony" last week and was hoping to exchange the dress. To my surprise, he was combative, rude, condescending, called me a liar and informed me that in fact there was no employee by the name of ?Anthony,? that my information was wrong, he could never exchange a dress a week past the 14 day return policy, that the dress I had bought wouldn?t sell on the floor because there weren?t any left in stock?the list goes on and on. Fact is, I spoke to an employee, who gave me a line of bs and told me something that apparently the store would never back up. I tried to reason with the manager to no avail, explaining to him that someone in his store told me, matter-of-factly that I could exchange the dress. The issue here is an internal one, not one I should have had to deal with. I have never had such a horrible, embarrassing, rude experience in my life. I would advise shoppers to stay away, give your business to Saks or Nordstrom who stand behind their merchandise and policies. Plus, I?ve heard that the owner of the company is inappropriate with his employees, lawsuits pending? Buyers beware!!!
- Cons: company doesn't stand behind merchandise or policies, horribly rude associates
