HORRIBLE SERVICE! My husband and I made reservations for a Saturday evening at 8pm, the host took forever to greet us and tried to seat us in a banquet area full of screaming children. We asked for another table (there were plenty in the main dining room), we waited 30 minutes for another table. After we were seated, we brought our drinks with us and sat and waited for almost 10 minutes for our server to come over. We ordered our drinks and food since we sat so long. When the server returned with our drinks, he took my wine glass and poured the remaining approx. 4 tablespoons of wine from my current drink into the new wine glass and took my old glass. This is a HUGE violation of wine etiquette 101. He never asked if it was the same and you never mix in case it's a new bottle. My husband asked for a glass with his beer (no Italian beers on the list at an Italian restaurant!). The server stated he would get it right away; he never returned! My husband took an empty water glass from a neighboring table. Another person brought over 2 rolls, by this time it's 9pm (an hour after we arrived). We waited and waited and by 920 when our bread was long gone and our server never returned with our dinner salads, the glass or the appetizer we ordered, in sheer disgust, my husband threw 20 dollars on the table for the drinks and we left! We were thoroughly disgusted with the whole experience and will never return!
Poor service. Although their Dom's bread was more like a cheesy pizza than the bruschetta the server said it was like, the food was OK to good. But the service was among the worst I've experienced in many years here in Buffalo. It was far slower than the number of customers would suggest. When we asked the server for something, she'd say "I'll be right back" and then, with no explanation of what was going on, do something else. The service was so bad that I wondered in my paranoid way if we had somehow offended her and were being punished. I would not go back. And I would not recommend the place to friends without telling them about our experience there.
Only go if under new ownership. I took my wife her for our anniversary. The restaurant is quaint and nicely decorated; unfortunately the food and service left something to be desired. We both ordered one of their many chicken dishes and the food was quite good until my wife found a hair in her food. When I called the waiter over he immediately got the manager. This is where things went really down hill. The manager had claimed the hair must be one of my wife?s (she has blond hair and the hair was black!) he was very rude and talked over me when I spoke. There was no apology and no money taken off our bill- not even an offer of free desserts. When I didn?t leave a tip the owner/manager mutter something under his breath at us as we were leaving. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant- it?s a shame because this place has potential. Maybe I will come back if they have new owners!
