RUDE OWNER - BEWARE!!!. BWs is a restaurant/catering business in Hamburg, NY that specializes in BBQ chicken. I recently had them cater my father's retirement party for 80+ people. Although the food was great, I had a major issue with the managerial staff after the event.

Prior to the party I called to ask if I could use a couple of coupons I had gotten from the Buffalo Clipper. I was told this was not a problem and to give the coupons to the delivery person on the day of the party (and that my bill would be adjusted after the fact, since I paid ahead of time by credit card). Unfortunately the coupons were forgotten in the shuffle of throwing a large party. I explained this to the very kind delivery man, who told me to bring the coupons in to the restaurant the following week and ask to speak to a manager. As I was out of town, my mom visited the restaurant with the coupons on two occasions, but both times was told no one was available to speak with her. She left the coupons with a member of the waitstaff and was assured she would receive a call the next day. Two days later she called and spoke with Patrick, the catering manager, who told her no coupons would be honored after the fact. When she asked about simply being given a gift card in the amount of the coupons, he replied, "absolutely not."

I then called and spoke with Bruce, the owner. After accusing me of LYING about what the delivery man had told me, he raised his voice to shout, "No coupons accepted after the fact, and NO EXCEPTIONS. What don't you understand about that??" He then proceeded to HANG UP ON ME!!! I would never expect this behavior from an owner of any establishment, let alone a respected local restaurant. For the value, there are a number of other catering companies in Buffalo with MUCH higher levels of customer service.
