I was hoping for more!.
I can't say it was the wait - 75 minutes after reservation time. I can't say it was the cramped area to wait in. The drinks were good - How can you screw up drinks? I did ask for no extra salt in my rub, thank goodness. The LB was wonderful, the salad devine, the onions fantastic. Good coffee. BUT, that was one dry cut of meat. Preperation was missing someting, I can't put my finger on it. Although cooked correctly, there is a final touch that just wasn't there.
Such is life. I'd dine there again, but I'd perfer a few other places before I'd return.
More sizzle than steak.
Despite rave reviews regarding this establishment, I can truly say that our experience with the Chop House was decidingly underwhelming. The steak was fatty and extremely undercooked while my date's shell-less crab was anything but...
While acceptable at your neighborhood strip mall restaurant, unacceptable for one of the area's trendy and thereby overpriced establishment. Many, many other area restaurants will give you more value for your dollar.
Dissapointed.
For the amount of money spent for each ala cart item we expected our food to be much better. With each item we thought it could only get better- WRONG. The salads were so so. The seafood overcooked, beef- well lets just say if this was gourmet food at its best my husband is the ultimate chef!!!
Our Server- tremendous. Without Rick- it would have been a total catastrophe. Thanks Rick!
Great!!.
My husband and I had dinner here on Thanksgiving Day, 2003 and it was quite an experience. Food was perfect, service was perfect and above all, the hospitality was amazing. The manager is an outstanding gentleman who just makes a great place even better.
We'll be in the area this Labor Day weekend and can't wait to go back.
By far the best steakhouse!. I have been to the Buffalo Chophouse 3 times and though the prices aren't cheap the food is the best in WNY. There is no way that EB Greens nor Scotch and Sirloin can beat this fine establishment. If you want the perfect steak, perfect service and great ambience make your reservations today!!! Take it from a native Buffalonian, anyone who visits Buffalo needs to dine here!!
Best restaurant in Buffalo. The Buffalo Chophouse is by far the best restaurant in Buffalo. Forget Disney- if you enjoy steak, THIS is the happiest place on earth! I've taken three sets of people and all ageee that this is the best steak they have ever eaten. The service is on the same level and while pricey, the VALUE is as good as it gets
Buffalo Chophouse.
Buffalo Chophouse "wet-ages" their prime beef. By far, they have the largest (36oz RibEye), tastiest, and best steak in WNY. Scotch & Sirloin #1?---Give me $36 for a 36oz prime cut of beef, perfectly done as requested is a bargain.
I've been to EB Greens (Buffalo), Bob's Chophouse(Dallas,TX), Ruth's Chris (San Antonio) & Papa Bacchus(Rome,Italy--Chimina beef) and the Buffalo Chophouse, hands down beats them all!!!!
Buffalo Chop House. I recently went to the Buffalo Chop House. We usually go to E.B. Greens for steak. The steak at the Buffalo Chop House was absolutly outstanding. The service was better than average. The meals are very expensive with everything being a la carte. In my opinion for value worth of money E.B. Greens is a better "deal." However I would still like to go back to the Buffalo Chop HOuse in the future. Where we were seated there was approxiamately twelve inches on either side of the table - poor seating.
40th birthday. My wife and I went there for my 40th birthday and it was by far the best restaurant experience that I have had in the Buffalo region. It is equal to the quality that you would get at a Mortons Steak House in Chicago. Well over and above Scotch and Sirlion.
Very Nice. Excellent food, nice wine list, pleasantly decorated - a lovely evening!
