East Meets West Yoga Center

Sad to say it but I didnt have a good expirience w them :(

Sadly I just spend almost 4 hours trying to inscribe my 2 boys in a Yoga class at this place and yes they were very friendly but after leaving them a message they call me 2 business days later and left me a nice messages indicating that I was more than welcome to walk in and fill out some paper work and that my kids could start the same day (Thursday), I went to the Elmwood village location when I walk in (every one very nice) they send me down stares to wait for some one who I assume was going to explain me my options the proceedings and charge me, 5 minutes later the same girl that told us to wait pass by us, later came back with a pen and 2 forms for me to fill, unfortunately after 1 hour and 8 minutes (and I know this cuz I ignored a call and put my phone on silence when I walk in the building) NO one ever came, parents and other customers walk in and out and we waited where we was nicely told to wait. I look at my watch and though let me leave and drive to the other location maybe over there they are more whiling to take care and inscribe new customers, when I arrived at the other location in Amherst Town a very nice lady inform me that they don't have kids classes at that location and ask me for my phone number that some one will call me..... They don't have a reception desk where you can be inform and neither they have some one who will answer the phone for info or who could take care of new customers who walk in when they are called home and instructed to do so. I was hoping for the great experience that everybody was talking about in the other reviews but this was not the case I wasted my time but! seeing the bright side of it some one who will really care about doing business and of providing me a service will enjoy my money.

UPDATE 05/13/11: I have to add to this review that after that day I got 2 phone calls from them, we agree on a date and time for paper work and payment and my kids where able to start on 05/12/11, like always the staff was very nice and apologize for the incident. In regards to my kids they liked the class and found their teacher Rebecca very nice. With the proper arrangements yes I will definitely recommend them in the future.

Out of towners...Don't be frightened to take yoga in Buffalo!

My wife and I live in Manhattan and have been practicing yoga for many years. My wife's family is from Buffalo, and when I began to visit her family with her starting about five years ago, I took it upon myself to investigate some yoga studios. Being from "the city", I have this horrible tendency when traveling of always think that nothing can compare to the high quality of services and goods in NYC. I discovered East Meets West Yoga on the web and decided to take a Vinyasa I/II class. I was amazed. The facilities are both esthetically and spiritualy pleasant. The quality of instruction is as good as the top studios in NYC. I feel that Sara is the best instructor, but I reccomend you shop around and see who suits you best..
