Cecelia's on Elmwood. They other night my girlfriends and I decided to shop on Elmwood and try out Cecelias. It was a Friday night and the hostess explained the wait would only be about 25minutes. That didn't bother us because we wanted to test out the martini bar. The Martini's were FABULOUS. I would recommend the pomegranate or June Bug. After about 20min the hostess came to to sit us in a booth near the window. Our server Carly came right up to greet us and walked us through their menu and specials. We decided to split their famous banana peppers and margarita pizza to start (and another round of martinis). The apps took about 15 minutes which we thought was percect timing and worth the wait!!! Best pizza I have had in awhile and my girlfriends agreed. For entrees, we took Carly's suggestions and ordered the ravioli in the roasted red pepper cream sauce, chicken cecelias, and the mixed grill special. I personally am a huge pasta fan so the ravioli was the perfect choice and completely incredible. The girls enjoyed their meals as well and cannot wait for patio season!!!!
Poor Service. I would not recommend this place unless you want to spend 3 hours eating. The service was horrible - the waitress would disappear for 15 - 20 minutes at a time, she kept forgetting to get things that we asked for, and was very inattentive to the table. In addition, we were not allowed to sit on the patio and have drinks with a few friends that were there to eat dinner. It was 11:00 at night and there was no one waiting for the open table but we couldn't sit there "according to their seating policy!" When we said that we would leave, the hostess said that she didn't care what we did. It was very rude and I will never go back to this place. Your money will be much appreciated at many other fine establishments in buffalo!
Eh. I've eaten at Ceceila's twice. I've found the food to be just average and over rated. My first visit, my beer was warm, the salad was warm, and my food was bland. Gave it a second try and the food was just okay for what they ask for it.
Best veal in town!. The martinis may be great, but the food here- inexpensive and delicious- make this restaurant really stand out. Try the homeade ravioli, or one of the superb veal or chicken entrees (I love the Veal Cecilia and the Chicken Florentine). The calamari here is the most tender you'll ever taste. But don't forget to leave room for desert, as these homeade selections never fail to satisfy.
the absolute best Marsala. If you're looking for the best homemade italian dishes as well as a relaxed, cozy atmosphere, then this is the place. The appetizers are awsome and on Monday nights they are all half price along with 2 for 1 martinis. And oh, by the way, there are more than fifty of those to choose from. I give it a 10!
