You buy it, Weaver Breaks it... – Bought my first road bike at Weavers, a Buell to be exact. They changed the tire on it before I picked it up so it would pass inspection. 3 weeks later the rear wheel bearing spacer was clanking around in the wheel, so I took it back in. They "fixed" it and gave it back and said it wouldn't be a problem again. The service department decided Loc-Tite was a solution to a loose bearing in the wheel bore, which they had oblonged when they put the bearing in wrong the first time... Loc-Tite is NOT meant to be put on wheels, let alone a wheel that your LIFE IS RIDING ON! 3 months later I took the bike to a Harley Dealer to have the tire replaced, and they tell me I need a new wheel, and that its not leaving there shop in the condition that its in because the bearing spun in the wheel and could lock up at any time, possibly killing me and any passenger on the bike. When I talked to Bob to replace the wheel, or at least make it right, he told me the bike was out of warranty and that it wasn't his problem... Your service department should have replaced the wheel the first time they damaged it Bob, not thrown Loc-Tite in it to patch it up! I paid $5000 for a used bike, not chump change... And Bob is screwing me over for a $350 wheel... Steer clear of these HACK mechanics and a cheap SOB of an owner.
"That's the old price." – Well... I visited this place once, recently. I pulled a product off the shelf and thought the price was decent enough to approach the counter and pull out my wallet.
Then the guy tells me "That's the old price" and that the new price was like almost 10 dollars more.
How is that my problem, I thought? So I acted like I wasn't all that interested in paying the "new price" and paid the amount marked on the product.
Kind of a weird sales approach if ya ask me.
By far the BEST motorsports dealership in WNY – I was BLOWN away by the excellent experience I had. I am so impressed with this dealership, I have already recommended them to three of my friends!
Price gouging – $84 for an oil change on a V250!
They'll never see me at this place again. I shudder to think how much any significant service would cost.
So BE AWARE!!!
Chose another motorsports store – After two visits to this store, I would avoid this store at all cost. Ariving at this store and browsing around and passing several sales people (about a half hour), I decided to ask a salesman what I was looking for (T-Max Motor Scooter), the reply I recieved was that they didn't have any on the floor and continued walking away from me. I had to follow him to ask him when they would have something that I could look at he said he didn't know, and still ignored me.
I walked out of the store in disbelief. I will take my business to Free Wheeling Cycle, I have had better experiences there.
