I think Fuji is a great restaurant, but the service is sometimes really slow.
Great Dining Experience. Fuji Grill is absolutely the BEST sushi in town. I am a regular there and I have yet to have a complaint. They have wide varieties and rare fish and always have new and creative specials. Fish is shipped in 4 times a week to guarentee freshness. The sushi chef's are highly trained in Japenese cuisine and do beautiful work and are very entertaining to watch... If you don't care for sushi, they also have fabulous kitchen entres at unbeatable prices. The staff and service is always friendly and prompt, I have not had a server that I wasn't pleased with. Anyone who passes up this restaurant is missing out bigtime!
Disappointingly Dismal Experience.. Poor hospitality. We (party of 4) were shoved with 2 other parties of two at a table. We had no interest in sharing a table with these (rude) other people, but we were given no option to change tables. The food was acceptable, but nothing special. Condiments were not provided, and when requested, were not promptly brought. Service was below average. The atmosphere was good, sleek and well-lit. The tables and other furniture matched the decor, which was classy. However, the dismal service and other negatives mean I will never eat here again. I was quite disappointed as I had high hopes for this restaurant.
You won't be disappointed..
Great food, good service, nice atmosphere. It is a warm, modern enviornment that is a pleasure to dine in. It doesn't have that trendy, cold feel, that makes you question if you are dressed appropriately or fit with the crowd. The food has always been excellent. Great moderate prices. I eat there several times a month.
You won't be disappointed.
Best sushi in the area.
Fugi Grill remains most fresh and skillfully prepared sushi in the Buffalo area. I am a regular, and I've come to know that shipments of fish are flown in 4 times a week! Fugi always has fish specials, often rare fish like blue fin tuna, kanpachi, live scallop, uni, and mouth watering toro. The appetizers are great too, light crispy tempura, yummy fried gyoza's with sauce to die for, and the shrimp shumai is stuffed with big pieces of shrimp. There is also a reasonable sake list, including both warm and chilled varieties. Even though the restaurant is often busy, I've never had a problem getting a table.
This is the REAL DEAL!!!
Fuji Grill the best in WNY! Highly recommended.

The Sushi and Sashimi are always FRESH! If you are not sushi lover, they offer a variety of cooked food from the kitchen just as good.
The environment is quiet and the service are friendly and helpful.
The price is very reasonable for the freshness of food you get there. I would definitely visit them again and recommend this Japanese Restaurant to others.
"It's ironic that after chef Tony Kang (owner of Wasabi) left Fuji Grill, the quality and appearance of the food has much improved. I hope this review helps."
User review by jguerra. Great food and atmosphere. Its not hibachi style (cook at the table) but its a lot less expensive than shogun.
