I was begining to think that I had made a mistake. My new puppy was reaking havok on my life. I was so overwhelmed and didn't know what to do. The person on the phone was so supportive and signed me up for a puppy class. Now, two years later, my dog is a Canine Good Citizen, and I am waiting to start therapy dog training. I can't say enough good things about all the people who work there. I am so proud of Morgan and now reccomed Canine Academy to everyone. Thank you Colleen, Barb and Alex. Love Kelly and Morgan, the dog who is no longer trouble!
Colleen, Barb and all the staff at Canine Academy are wonderful. I have been attending classes with my boy for the last three years. From puppy class, all the way to advanced obedience, Rally, Agility and Scent class, we have done it all! I am always pleased with the way classes are run and how behavioral issues are adressed. My dog wasn't always the best behaved but the trainers always had kind words and helpful advice for us! I am so thankful that a friend refered me to them.
Loved thier classes. Great staff. Have used the daycare a few times and my dog was happy and tired! Highly recommend this place.
Colleen, Barb and the entire staff are professional, friendly and extremely helpful. Spacious, clean facility. I have taken classes there and bring my dog to daycare. She loves to go to Canine Academy.
Daycare, sheesh. I walked in with my dog mid-day and I was a little put off by the amount of dogs they seemed to have in a confined space. When I asked if it was normal I was immediately met with hostility by the female employee, "YES, IT'S NORMAL
Lifesaver. Colleen literally saved my puppy. She was an agressive biter who attacked whenever she had something she knew she was not supposed to have. With Colleen's help we learned how to deal with her and she now responds beautifully to the "leave it" command allowing us to remove harmful things from her without being bitten. She has come such a long way with Canine Academy in all aspects of her training. People marvel at her behavior and we owe it all to Canine Academy and Colleen. If you're looking for effective, gentle, reward/praise training that really works check out Canine Academy.
Great Classes!. I had an out of control lab/hound mix that I was embarrased to walk down the street. When we started class, he was barking and crazy. Colleen was patient with me and my dog, and I now proudly hold my head high as we walk down the street, he does such a great job. Thank you!
Wish I never signed up!. Unfortunately, I can't give a positive review for Canine Academy. Almost every class, the trainer would ask to demonstrate something on one of the dogs in class and she would proceed to handle the dog in a rough manner. It made me nervous to hand over my dog to this woman. I dreaded the classes each week. I went to Canine Academy because it is the closest training place for me. I honestly think location is what keeps this place in business because it is sure not the great trainer / training.
Not my cup of tea.... I found both the trainer and the classes unpleasant. My dog did graduate (in fact he won 1st place on the last day) however, I would not recommend this place and I would not return. The training style as well as the teaching style left me disappointed to say the least.
