great pub, wish restaurant was open after games. great place before and after sabres games. almost too crowded maybe they should open the upper level sometimes. also the restaurant should serve food after games. the chicken wings are just right...hot and saucy.

Stopped in during the WJHC. Me and my wife stopped into The Irish Times during the Junior hockey tournament on the first day. We came from Hamilton Canada, and wanted a restruant we could feel comfortable in. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we came in for all the Canada games. The chicken wings were the BEST we have ever had. John and Jimmy were our bartenders all week and took great care of us. This will be our new pre-Sabers game hang out .

not all its cracked up to be. I was terribly disappointed with this place. I used to live in Buffalo and Pat Mcginty's (now the Irish Times) was my favorite pre-sabres & bisons game destination. I was happy to see the potato soup still on the menu but was disappointed as the soup was not the same, cold and too salty. The wings weren't cooked enough and had a funny taste. The bathroom was disgusting, and to top it off our waitress was a mess. Her appearance was awful, and she spent more time flirting at the bar with the bartender and texting on her phone. I will not go back, and I will not longer recommend this downtown spot. Bring back the old owner!
