Wine ThiefAVOID!!! This restaurant!!. Extremely disappointed in this restaurant! Out of 4 dinners 3 were terrible. My husband's steak had a large bone and he filled 2 napkins with gristle. My gnocchi was obviously cheap quality-very doughy and chewy. My friend's scallops (all 4 of them) were very fishy smelling. The portions were OK but considering the up scale restaurant prices the food quality was disgusting. I wouldn't expect food this bad at a cheap greasy spoon much less for what we paid! If it wasn't for the fact I had a $40.00 coupon that brought the total down to $107.00 I think I might have demanded some money off the bill. We love to eat out most Saturdays and look forward to trying different non-chain restaurants but this is one we will not give a second chance. By the way, the owner came around and we voiced our concerns-his reply "I'll mention it to my suppliers". Gee thanks!!
Not impressed. went here twice - once for dinner with my boyfriend and another time we both took friends from out of town here because they love different wines. Bartender was awful both times and service was really pretty embarrassing. I would definitely not be back. Nothing impressed us as far as the food, the service or the wine selection & prices.
Perfect Elmwood Spot. This place is great. Excellent service, great food, great beer selection, long wine list (no junk either). Beautiful decor - you'll be comfortable in jeans or a suit (but don't look like a bum). Parking isn't too bad, but watch out for restrictions in front of the hospital. They could easily fit more tables in this place, but the open feel is nice and you're never right on top of another table. The owners, both named Dave, are usually around and very hospitable.
