I went to LA Fitness, JCC, Fitness 19 and Catalyst before deciding the BAC was the place for me. I met with a fitness coach Chris, who has worked with me to monitor my training program as well as my attendence at the club. We set up an intial 6 week goals and the knowledgable trainers developed and taught me an exercise program. I felt very little sales pressure, and overall the atmosphere was relaxed and positive. I would tell anyone in the market for a gym to try the downtown BAC and ask for Chris (he's the best).
I joined the BAC about a month ago. I joined the BAC because they offer numerous classes that are included in the membership. Also, they have multiple locations that make working out easy and convenient. The price is affordable as well
I have been an avid exerciser for the past 10 years. In that time, I have worked out in clubs from NYC to Las Vegas, and everywhere in between. The downtown BAC has everything you could possilby need to get a maximum workout. Parking is kind of a hassel, but other than that, I highly recommend the BAC to anyone that may be looking to start a workout routine or that may be looking for a change of pace
I really enjoy my membership with the BAC. The staff is always kind and polite. I joined the BAC to start living a more healthy lifestyle. When I first joined the gym nearly 10 years ago, I could hardly walk up the stairs without getting winded. I took advantage of the personal training sessions that were included with my membership, which taught me the basics of what I needed to do to achieve my goals. Today, I take spinning classes 2 times a week, in addition to my weight lifting routine. The downtown facility is ideal because even if I m not feeling a weight work out, I can go down and swim laps in the beautiful pool. I credit the BAC with hgetting me into the best shape that I have ever been in, and I cannot say enought good things!
I joined the Downtown BAC last year and have had nothing but a positive experience. The staff is on point and always available if I ever have any questions. I was curious to see how the renovations would turn out and I must say the new free weight floor is gorgeous (it doesn't hurt that they brought in all new equipment). I took advantage of the two free Crossfit demo's in their new Crossfit space and just recently signed up for 8 more classes with my coach Chris. If you're looking for the best gym in the entire city look no further (ask for Chris)!
The downtown BAC is an excellent facility. I have been a member of numerous health clubs in the past, but this club exceeds all of my expectations. They have a kind and polite staff that makes you feel welcomed, as well as large spacious workout areas. There is more than enough equipment to get a great workout in. I highly recommend the BAC
I have been a member at the bac since 2010. I signed up on the 3 month trial to test it out. At the end, i decided that i loved the gym and the staff, that i signed on for a 2 year membership with a personal trainer. Since then i have lost 35 lbs and am in the best shape of my life. I can easily run 5-7 miles without a break, i am wearing jeans that are sizes smaller than when i was in high school. The staff and trainers worked with me and encouraged me to not only meet my goals but surpass them. I used to think that all gyms were the same, but i would not go anywhere else but the bac. It worked for me, and i highly recommend it!!
Everyone and anyone is welcome to
enroll at any of our locations. We have never discriminated against anyone regardless of age, sex ,race or income. Our membership is as young as 12 and as old as 97 that use our facilities on a daily basis. The BAC does not have any income requirements to be a member of the club. We strongly suspect that this review has been written by a recently terminated employee trying to tarnish our reputation.
Sincerely,
The Buffalo Athletic Club Management
The owners of the BAC are incredibly greedy and selfish. Do you avoid shopping at Wal-Mart because you don't like putting money directly into the pockets of the corrupt Walton family? If so, please add the BAC to your list of unacceptable places of business. They discriminate against the poor, and they run their staff into the ground with the intense pressure to make money. They are helpful and attentive to the members because they are paid almost completely on commission, not because the BAC is the type of club that cares about people. Bottom line - the BAC is a business that ONLY cares about your money, and it's at the expense of the employees.
