Horrible and darkness atmosphere, poor courtesy and NOTHING ROMANTIC!. The past Sept.11 I went with my girlfriend to this restaurant thinking that it would be good & romantic for the critics that I have read in this page, only one bad comment (until now! ). But the truth is I'm wrong:

-The wait staff received us with bad face and poor courtesy. While we entered the restaurant, the maitre just raised his eyebrow, stared at us, and waited for us to "report" to him why we were there. To show that we had a reservation, I offered my last name to him. He came up with a very strange pronunciation and he didn't give a hoot. Although we have reserved a table, they did not prepare anything.

-The atmosphere was so dark that you could hardly read the menu. Maybe they need to use all the electricity outside because inside of the 'dungeon' they use very very low lights. The hall it's like a horrible wax museum (maybe the latex statues would be previous clients, I don't know).

- The food seemed so so and the only thought I had in that moment, was to escape from there.

My recommendation: Don't go! Anything restaurant would be much better.

Mi recomendacion: No vayan! cualquier otro restaurante seria mejor eleccion.

Atmosphere-straight kitsch, food mediocre and service the same. What is all the hooplah about -is it because there are costly collections that he can deduct, eg cars?. I belong to a group who insist on meeting here. I have never been impressed with the food and the wait staff needs a few lessons in courtesy and efficiency. I am offended by the decor, which lacks taste, is over-priced and over the top. Would not return there on my own but have been outvoted by those lacking refinement.

Great food. Meticulous service. Wonderful experience.. My first dining experience at Salvatore?s was preceded by a 3hr flight delay. My fiance is a native western New Yorker and I was coming to visit him for the first time. Despite my flight?s delay and us showing at Salvatore?s minutes after midnight, the restaurant was waiting for us! The chef knew in advance about our favorite tastes and ready for us to order any dish from our collection of favourites. The staff was beyond attentive. Their meticulous knowledge of table manners and serving has been one of the best I?ve experienced in the United States. The food was spectacular. The ?sparkly sky? at the restaurant added its charm, and the collection of sculptured and antique cars could only be admired by adding to the ambiance. Salvatore?s has become my favourite restaurant of western New York. I have noticed that on earlier nights, without flight delays, we can enjoy life music accompanying us to our dinners.

surf & turf A++++ or anything for that matter is an A++++. Salvatores is dinning at it's finest. Subperb customer service and food.I would not say it's not for children. It's for well behaved children with good taste! My daughter's first dinning experience was when she was three. She is now 7 and it is her number one choice on her Birthday.Thank you for the many family memories! There's not a better place in Buffalo!

World's Best Restaurant. I don't understand how one restaurant can be viewed by patrons in completely opposite ways! So ....is it refined, grand and luxurious? Or is it tacky, as some people have suggested. The only tacky thing is the restaurant making souvenirs for sale for customers on the way out. That's it! Everything else is beautiful! When I'm in there I feel like I'm in another world. And, in fact, I have visited restaurants all over the world. Do you like superb service, an extensive menu of quality food, plush decor, and Vegas type entertainment on the weekends? This is it! When I'm done dining there, I know I've been out for an evening! It is the opposite of mundane and ordinary. It is an EXPERIENCE!

Editorial Review. Steaks, seafood, chicken and dinners for two, plus three ballrooms that seat from 50 to 400 guests for private events.

Poor excuse for quality.. Overpriced frozen and reheated food. Service was terrible. Never again.

Always Great. I have gone to Salvatore's with my wife at least twice every year for the past 8 years. I have never had a bad experience. I keep going back because I feel I don't have to worry about food quality, service, ambience, or any other problem. I know when I go we will love the food and have a great time.

Universe Class Restaurant. My wife and I have dined at Salvatores at least 30 times in the past five years.

Having dined in Asia, Europe, Quebec City, Montreal and Toronto, I find Salvatore's

even higher than world class.

With attention to the most minute of details, the Salvatore's have created an unparalleled dining experience. We love the ambience and decor, and the bartenders and staff are superb! Don't arrive in tennis shoes or shorts, as some have apparently done.

The package that includes a stay at Salvatore's Hotel and a dinner

for two at the restaurant is a supreme value for any couple.

Not Impressed. I only went to the restaurant twice. I would never go back. The food is only average but extremely overpriced. The decor is much too gaudy for my taste. I've had better meals at lesser priced restaurants. I don't understand why some people are impressed with Salvatore's. It is very tacky and very overpriced. The food is not remarkable.
