Incredible Turnaround!. What a change just a few years can make!

A few months ago I stopped in to Riley Street Station to meet up with a friend and was completely blown away with the changes. This establishment which was known for it's rough and unruly crowd has done a 180 and is now quite possibly one of the nicest places in WNY.

The atmosphere now is very pleasant and attracts a whole new clientele base that in the past has been reluctant to visit. Now you run into much more mature patrons, who range from local businessmen to government officials. The days of the rowdy young crowds are gone.

To make matters even better, they have installed a brand new kitchen run by a catering company that offers many different dishes depending on the week you come in. On my visit I had a plethora of homemade polish food, including quite possibly the best pirogi I have ever tasted. Since that time, I have come back on Friday for a fish fry and I have to say it was delicious.

It's clear that they are still working out some of the kinks with the new food service, but they are definately on the right track. I would highly recommend trying this place out and giving it another try if you have not visited in a while due to its former reputation.

Things have changed! And the change is good! Other noteables are the Gandy Dancer Martini Bar open only on weekend nights. Complete with large HD flat screen. Great to catch a game in there. Saturdays you will always find a local band playing in house as well. Lots of blues bands and other classic rock bands. I've heard that they have acoustic open mic nights every Tuesday as well, however have yet to be able to make it to one.

More recently, a HUGE awning was installed to provide outdoor seating/dining in the building. Very pleasant to sit out there under glowing lights and enjoy the quiet bustle of an East Aurora night.

They really got it right this time and are truly turning this gem of a building into what its true potential is.

EA Excitement. Riley's is a great bar to attend on any night. You will always find a good crowd and a good time. The weekends draw in many indivduals from around the surrounding the towns for a full night of partying. There is a large outdoor patio for the smokers and a pool table to fill your time as you are waiting for friends. This bar is a bar only offering no food so besure to eat before you head in.
