Great place to eat. This was our first time visiting the Boston Hotel.Our experience was excellent,the food was great,the service was great,waitress was very polite as was the owner.Would highly reccomend this establishment to anybody.

DELICIOUS SEAFOOD, GREAT SERVICE, AND A COMFORTABLE ATMOSPHERE. My family had a birthday get together for my mom at the Boston Hotel this evening. Some of our party of 8 arrived a little early, so we gathered at the bar for a couple of drinks. The bartender was quite pleasent and jovial, the atmosphere was casual and relaxed, and we were glad we arrived early. We beat the dinner rush and had our table reserved ahead of time (just to let them prepare, it's the polite thing to do). Everyone in our group tried at least a little of everything from the seafood menu. The steamed clams were cooked to perfection, as were the lobster dainties, shrimp, scallops, haddock, etc. We were all more than pleased with our meals and finished with full bellies. The portions were more than enough! Wearing our comfortable casual attire was perfect for the occasion. Even the service was fantastic! Our server gave us the proper amount of attention and had great organizational skills. As a former server, I have the expertise to say that she did a wonderful job! She was just as friendly as the bartender! My parents have been long time fans of the Boston Hotel, but this was my first time... definitely not my last! I can't wait to go there again to sample some of the other things on their great menu! EXCELLENT PLACE TO EAT! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT FOR ANYONE WHO ENJOYS GREAT SEAFOOD FOR A REASONABLE PRICE...

One more thing... be kind to your servers.

Look for another place to go. This establishment is piggy-backing on the name of the Boston Hotel down in Boston, NY. The Lancaster Boston Hotel has no connection and does not compare in the least to the Boston, NY restaurant.

The first thing we noticed was the "Tavern" odor. The restaurant has a very nice sign outside, but once you step through the door it is quite run down. Very cramped, amibiance does not exist. Waitresses were obviously overworked and underpaid. Food was very average and presented as "slop" on the plate. Prices were high for a place such as this.

We saw the owner as rude, obnoxious and inconsiderate to a family of 6. He was quite loud, (as well as inhibriated) when he refused to accept a gift certificate that the family presented to him. The owner didn't seem to care that other patrons were in the restaurant.

There are plenty of restaurants in the area and this one should be avoided. Take the extra 20 minutes and drive on down to the Boston Hotel in Boston, NY.
