Tips for Heinrich Chevrolet

January 03, 2013

My family has been going to Heinrich for years. The last time I needed to buy a car, I ended up driving to them all the way from Hamburg just because I knew the way they do business. Their staff makes me feel like I belong there, which is something that appeals to me in any business.

I just bought a new Camaro here and was very pleased with my experience. I shopped every dealership in the area and ultimately found the best price here. Thanks to Don Boyle for being a helpful, pleasant to deal with salesperson.

I recently bought a new Malibu from Heinrich Chevrolet and I wanted to state puicly how easy they made this experience from me. I came in outlined some items I wanted and was met with a smart salesman who ran me through my options with each package I could have, no pressure in the sale either. I was very pleased with this style of selling and would recommend this dealer to anyone.

My family has been buying vehicles from Heinrichs for years. My first car was a Chevy Malibu which included an extended warranty. I moved to Massachusetts shortly after I purchased it and when I tried to take it to a Chevy dealership in Mass for a minor repair they gave me a hard time about honoring the warranty. I called Heinrichs and told them the situation and the owner of Heinrichs actually called the owner of the dealership in Massachusetts and set him straight! How's that for customer service!! If you want a great vehicle and exceptional customer service the only place to go is Heinrichs!

GO ELSEWHERE!. We purchased a new Impala. salesman was nice. That is where the good service stops. The service department is a joke. They always have an excuse for car problems or can not see a problem. . . Warranty work! No wonder so many people are buying foreign cars!

In Buffalo, it's the best Chevy Dealer you'll find.. I recently moved here to Buffalo, and found the entire process of buying a car to be quite difficult in the area. It seemed as though I was getting jerked around by all of the other dealerships. Heinrich Chevrolet was a little bit of a drive for me, but given the other options I figured it was worth a shot. As it turned out, they ended up giving me the best price on Chevy Silverado.

They day after I took my truck, I noticed the cruise control wasn't working in the vehicle. They took a look at it and fixed it the next day. I understand that issues happen, and I was happy that they took car of it without a single complaint.

In comparison the your other options in Buffalo, I would have to say that Heinrich is your best bet.

Caveat emptor! Buyer Beware!. [1] First off, I mde a deal with a salesman at Heinrich. It was a good deal. But then the sales manager intervened. HE gave me the worst deal out of 11 which I had obtained at the vatious dealerships. Therefore i went to Paddock who gave me the BEST DEAL out of the 11 and bought the car there.

[2] Second, i had a service problem which Paddock covered under warranty. They were highly professional and fixed the problem quickly. I had another problem after leaving the car parked for a week or so. THe car would not start, even after the battery was charged. I had the car towed to Heinrich becuase the car was under warranty. Soon after, i got a call from someone identifying himself as teh service manager. He wanted me to sign an authorization to "run a diagnostic for $89"-- even though the car is in warranty! He proceeded to ask me why i had an a two way electrical splitter plugged into the cigarette lighter and what i had plugged into it. I saw what was coming. He then asked me what non-factory equipment had been instelled on the car. I replied that i did not know. He asked me if I had installed a "remote starter". I told him that the car HAD a remote starter, but that I bought the car in good faith. He then told me that because the car had a remote starter on it "We have to determine whether we can honor the warranty"". I then called GM, complained, then had the car taken to Paddock Chevrolet. It is too bad when you can not trust your hometown dealer. But then I am certainly not by myself in that experience. Just read the preceding posts about this dealer. They are nice and polite up front, but then once it goes to management, you WILL get conned. You can put that in the bank!

I got a veh on the smartbuy program, the finance person told me that at turn -in there was a refund of sales tax (new law in nys) there is not one!!! they even went with this right down to the end even telling me to take the turn in papers and my contract to dmv, (How stupid I must have looked to dmv ppl trying to do this) a call to th state verified there is not nor ever been any refund avail for sales tax on a smartbuy, one of their sales ppl told me he even was told this when he got his smartbuy!! (guess heinrich will even screw his own employee's....I for one will never do bussiness there again!!! and will be pursueing further legal action!!!

Sales and Service staff are great, but dealership refuses to honor agreements.. Bought a used Avalanche 10 days ago and noticed a few problems. The salesman, Rich, was very professional and very helpful. He told me they'd fix the problems and if I noticed anything else wrong, just bring it back in and they'd fix it. Well, I did.

It started when the #1 fob was not transmitting. The used sales manager said that they were "just a luxury", and since the #2 fob was working, they weren't going to do anything about it. I found one online for $25 and had the dealership reimburse me.

I later noticed the sunroof, pass side heated seat and power window weren't working correctly. I made an appt and dropped it off at 9AM. Mark, the service consultant, was also very professional, fixed the sunroof, but explained to me that they wouldn't even look at the power window if it wasn't malfunctioning at that exact time. Not even a visual inspection of the wiring to see if something was loose.

Mark called me back around 1PM, telling me that he spoke with the owner of the dealership and he said they'd go "50/50 on the repairs" for the heated seat. I expressed my displeasure, especially after being told if I noticed more problems to just bring it back in. He said he'd have someone call me back. They never called me, just kept the truck overnight without any notification.

I called them early the next morning and Mark told me the service dept hasn't been told anything. I left a voicemail for Rich and I'm still waiting for them to call me back. All I want is for them to fix these pre-existing problems.

The Jeep place my wife deals with has never given her any problems. They even changed the oil and filled up the gas before she drove it off the lot. Heinrich did neither of those things.

The problem is not with the sales staff nor the service department. The problem lies higher up at the dealership, up to and including the owner. They will not honor what they say.

Avoid this dealership at all costs and go to another one down the road.
