This place is not worth going to. It makes me wonder if all the other reviews on here are from family friends because I can not believe this place has a 5/5 after eating there. The food was very disappointing. I ordered the pecan crusted chicken as suggested by our server as the 'most popular chicken dish' my partner ordered a seafood pasta dish. Both were *average*, nothing great. We planned this out to be some fancy date night and instead it was like Denny's quality. French Onion soup was good but our entrees really sucked. The chicken was soft but very little flavor served with average baked potato and some baby carrots~ nothing special. They only gave us 2 rolls before dinner also. I would say more, but there is nothing more to say. Wasn't great, wasn't bad...but after the first bite I knew we wouldn't be going back. Overpriced for the lack of quality, I wouldn't mind paying a lot if it was good, but it wasn't.

Great steak in lockport. This was one of the best restaurants I have been to. My fiance and I went on the recommendation of her brother to celebrate her birthday. The place was not to hard to find and there was no problem getting a table (it was later on a monday night). Well upkept inside with warm atmosphere.

We started our meal with a french onion soup which was cooler than I expected but tasted good. She ordered a 10 oz sirlion which comes w/ a salad, vegie, and potato. I ordered a broiled sirlion w/ garlic and blue cheese topping along with the same sides. The steaks looked amazing and the flavor and tenderness were even better. When I picture a steak in my head, shamus's is it, thick juicy and medium rare. Can't say enough about it. She pointed out how great the vinegrette tasted on her salad. I tried some myself and it was very good. I also had french fries with my steak, yes, and they were great as well. Crunchy outside with mashed potato-like inside are my favorite. We did squeeze a little piece of chocolate cake in before we left, it was alright but nothing to right home about. All in All, great restuarant we will be going there again soon. It's worth a walk (due to limited parking). Would recommend to anyone for an occasion or an excellent dinner.

Restaurant with good food flavor preparation.. Food exceptionally good, warm atmosphere with friendly server staff. Nice, warms rolls served with dinner.

Best Fine Dining N. of Buffalo. A GREAT fine dining restaurant. Wonderful steaks and interesting continental-type dishes. Try the maple vinaigrette on your salad--you won't be sorry.

nice overall place. lunch or dinner, this is a nice restaurant to stop at. You can order ahead for lunch and cut the wait. the food is of general good quality and i've never had a bad meal here.
