Lousy Kennel

This place is terrible. We have used them 3 times in the past but only for 2 or 3 days. This time we left our dog for 6 days. When my husband picked him up he was all scratched up with cuts all over his head and nose. They were not even going to offer an explanation if my husband would not have asked. It turns out he got in some kind of fight with another dog, which I did not know was even a possibility. My dog is a big baby so why would they put an aggressive animal with any other animals?? My dogs bed was also all chewed up and his legs were rubbed bare in areas where he had rubbed them continuously on the crate. Do they exercise or distract these dogs at all, or just leave them crated the entire time, or to fend for themselves with other dogs?? We will never again use this kennel. On top of everything else they are not cheap. It cost an arm and a leg to board your dog there...Our adv ice,do not go to Schaffer Kennels.

SCHAFFER KENNELS

WOW right after writing a good ,stellar!, review of the kennels this happens!!! They promised us if our dog came more often the price would be lower than 81.00 and then when I picked her up the price was the same,(plus they threatened to keep her overnight if I was not there before 4 at a cost of 35.00) and it looked as if all they did for her was spray her with doggie perfume! to top it off SHE NOW HAS FLEAS! and she didn't when I brought her in!!!!!...CUT THEM OFF YOUR LIST of GOOD KENNELS/dog Grooming...

Bad, very bad. They hide what's inside

I took my dog here one day. The creeps took advantage of me. There was only 2 hours left to the day and it was supposed to cost 16 dollars for the whole day. The older man employee/owner whatever was very unprofessional. He charged me 16 dollars. Later I found out I should have only paid a per hour charge.

Whatever.

I asked to see the kennel. He made up an excuse that it was near closing time, meanwhile they wouldn't be closed for another 3 hours after people pick up their dogs. I persevered and still asked to see at least the room my dog would be in. Then he gave an excuse that it was about feeding time. ?? Why can't I peak in when it was just about feeding time? Then I asked again and he gave me an excuse that they don't usually let you see without an appointment. Well... if you need an appointment to see the kennel, then what exactly are they hiding? I came home to find that others said the place is dirty. Of course I never got to see for myself but I do believe that is why they were hiding the kennel from me. What else than that it's dirty? I did Don't take your dog here.

will give Shaffer a try

I have read everyone?s reviews and will give Schaffer Kennel?s a try. I stopped by to see the kennel for myself and it was very clean and impressive. But again they knew I was coming in.

Based on what I have seen, I will give them four stars and will update everyone on my opinion after my dog's stay.

I am hoping I will not be disappointed with my decision, but either way, I will be verbal on my thoughts.

schaffer kennels good review

to these people that don't like schaffer kennels, i have been boarding my pets there for about 5 yrs and it is not just a dog it also including a rabbit and 3 guinea pigs. the staff took really great care of my guinea pigs when i took them there to stay when they had skin problems. i have no problem with the owner or his staff. i always been treated nicely. the groomer always have listen to me when i had something special to ask out of her. i will always take them there when i go on vacation and i hope people who read these bad reviews please tke in to some consideration to look at the kennel. this kennel goes out of their way w/ new pets that stay in the suite with taking pictures of them for the owners. so please look at the good reviews
