Too expensive. Got a ridiculously high quote for a new hot water. When I declined their services I was charged $39 just for getting the quote. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Roys.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Their technician Tom broke our water line, attempted to repair it, and then lied about the entIre matter, resulting in another $2200 for them to dig up our front yard again and fix his mistake. THEY ARE DISHONEST AND UNETHICAL!!!
Roy's gave my a written estimate of
$335.00 to Install MY OWN brand new Delta Kitchen faucet! that 'd just purchased from Lowes! r u kidding me? all the holes are there. Before i called Roys i'd gone on line to look at delta faucet installs - just to make sure there wasn't anything to be concerned about, no concerns
- just rave reviews about how "simple" the install is.
So i called Roy's thinking it COULD'NT cost more than $175.00, HA!! Needless to say i couldn't get him out of my house fast enough! but not before i had to pay $33.00 for the visit/estimate. Unbelievable. I
Used them for leaky faucets. Had faucets refurbished due to the age of them, felt prices are high to put in new ones. Charles was very professional and knowledgable about plumbing issues, even put on the footwear! Thank you.
Too expensive. Too expensive.
Excellent. Ken was on time courteous and answered all of my questions. I will definitely contact Roy
Great Service. We had some major sump pump & plumbing problems. First to come out was Tony. He knew his stuff but didn't have the best explanation skills. When spending this type of money we need a good explanation. Called the company and out came Tom Smith. He gave the same superb service that he provided in our last house.
Great Service from Roy's. I had two technicians out to my home on separate occasions for plumbing issues - Charlie Alessi fixed my outside hose spigot so that it doesn't leak anymore! Tom Smith came another time to fix the problem I was having with my cold water in my bathroom. It was only trickling out but Tom came and cleaned all the sediment out of the lines so now it flows freely! Tom also cleaned my sewer and let me know that it's in perfect condition. Both technicians wore surgical booties when they were inside my home which surprised me - I really appreciated that! They were professional and very friendly! I would recommend Tom & Charlie and Roy's Plumbing, Heating & Cooling to everyone I know!!
Not impressed. Called Roys to stop and check out a defective home air conditioning system. The tech checked various things and stated that the funace may be bad. Wanted to sell me an outrageously priced furnace which I did not need. 2nd opinion indicated an issue with a motor, inexpensive and simple fix.
Damaged my furnace.
I responded to their telephone offer for the $9.95 furnace inspection since I hadn't had the furnace looked at in quite a while. I asked them to install filters at an additional cost. The technician came on time and got right down to business. After about 30 to 40 minutes the tech came up and told me there was a recall on the heat exchanger due to the exchanger shedding telflon. The teflon sheds and blocks the drain causing moisture to build up in the furnace causing damage and possibly causing carbon monoxide to escape. He cleaned it up and made sure there was not a problem.
Tech quoted me a price off of the top of his head for a new furnace. My furnace is over 20 years old and I knew I would be replacing it soon. I told him to write me an estimate so I could do some comparison shopping. He told me to give him a call when I have other estimates because Roy's does so much more than just install a furnace that he wanted to make sure I was aware of what the difference in cost would be between Roys' estimate and other estimates. Should have been the first warning. I told the tech I would call him.
A few days later I noticed my fan would not stop running. Mind you, my furnace had performed perfectly all winter. I called the tech back and he came out to check the furnace. After about 10 minutes he comes up and tells me that the teflon shed, caused the drain to become plugged and water came into contact with the circuit board which is causing the fan to now run constantly. He says he can fix it but the board is $650 and that it would be better to replace the whole furnace. I thought, hmmmmm, how convenient. I told him I did not have a problem all winter but now I do since he serviced it and now he wants to sell me that furnace. I asked him how it could happen if he cleaned it up when it hadn't happened all winter. He had no answer. I felt as if I was scammed. Didn't have them install a new furnace or a new circuit board. I would rather hire a company I can trust.
