Best live music venue in Buffalo.. Host to some of Buffalo's best live music. Something different every night of the week- no matter what your musical taste, they are bound to please you. Usually a $10 cover for bands. Sunday nights are the Allen St. Jazz band- (never a cover) one of Buffalo's better small combos. Slow bar service. Good tap selection, fair prices. Has a small patio outdoors for smoking, but keep the volume down please! Not-so clean atmosphere, but not trying to impress. Limited (grungy) "facilities", and not so clean "overall". Watch Artvoice for the weekly lineup. It's a Buffalo institution, so give it a try!…
You don't need to be an existentialist to enjoy this earthy Allentown bar where music reigns supreme every night..
The Scene
Established in 1982, Nietzsche's is where Ani DiFranco got her start and where Buffalo's up-and-coming folk and jam artists play for free beer. The bartenders can be a bit gruff,
but that shouldn't stop you from tying one on. If you're not a drinker, there's always the music. Fans flock to Nietzsche's for the annual John Lennon and Frank Zappa tribute shows.
The Draw
This venerable music hot spot features 13 bottled beers and a hearty selection of Irish beers on tap. Saturdays through Thursdays, 4pm to 8pm, is the "hour of repose", where pints of Guinness and Bass, and Labatt's bottles are discounted.…
great place to meet. A great daytime place to meet and drink with the city's writers, painters, musicians and intellectuals. Have a beer with them on this side of the bar.
