Best Steak subs. I am addicted to the Frenchy steak sub at Jim's. I have driven from West Seneca to downtown Buffalo at all hours just for this sub. I have also gone Lancaster to Williamsville too. I can pass 20 other sub shops and none will work but Jim's . So worth traveling for. The best Sub.…
My Mouth's Watering. Sooo good...philly with extra cheese, fries with blue cheese and a loganberry. Can anything be better? Love this place!
Drunk chow. Always great. Had a Jim's addiction for awhile. Love The Diavlo
Three Words - Chicken Finger Sub. Many a great memory has usually ended - and sometimes begun - with a visit to Jim's Steakout for the infamous and fabulous chicken finger sub. A concotion born and bread from the city that loves to eat, Jim's chicken finger sub can be rivaled by no other in Buffalo or elsewhere. Having moved to, moved from, and returned to Buffalo, Jim's chicken finger sub is one of the reason why the "Queen City" is worth living in despite six months of cold, dreary weather each year. Locations are conveniently scattered throughout the greater Buffalo area for your late night/early morning convenience, so you have no excuse not to try a chicken finger sub today!…
This may be Buffalo's favorite late night drunk-dining mini-chain..
The Scene
Spago, it isn't, but what Jim's does, it does well. The crowd is generally an assemblage of drunks, neighborhood regulars and curious suburbanites. Jim's food is sloppy, so most patrons leave worse off than they came in. But this is Buffalo, not Beverly Hills, so appearance takes a backseat to good food.
The Food
Subs fight for menu space with chicken fingers, wings in various greasy permutations, burgers and Tex-Mex standards like burritos, tacos and fajitas. But as the name implies, Jim's Steakout is about the steak--nine varieties of steak hoagy to be exact. The steak hoagy supreme is thinly sliced meat grilled with sweet peppers, fried onions and mushrooms, then topped with melted cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. Portions are big and come loaded with gooey cheese, crisp veggies and a variety of hot sauces and condiments.…
