cheap skates. My wife and I took her mother here for her birthday. Our dinner was ok, but not worth the price. I ordered was the only one to order dessert, and wouldn't you know they stuck a candle in it and sang happy birthday to her then pulled out the candle and handed it to me, like here's your order please leave. they didn't even bother to set it down in front of me. Soo lame!

An old school place. Anyplace that brings your meat out to the table and offers a full explanation of each cut is bout to be legitimate. E.B. Greens is a real old school place with a nice vibe and great food. Enjoy some of the lobster bisque while you listen to the live piano player and wait for a delicious cut of meat. All entrees come with a potato side and a salad to start. The flavors here rival many top notch steak houses in larger cities. A definite must if you are a local or just visiting Buffalo for a stretch.

Neither portions nor prices are small at downtown Buffalo's most elegant restaurant.. In Short
A lush, posh place next to the downtown Hyatt Regency, E.B. Green's is named after one of Buffalo's famous early 20th-century architects. Flavorful steak and roast cuts are selected raw from a cart rolled tableside and prepared with precision. The rack of lamb--six ribs au jus--is tender, and served alongside a la cartes like asparagus with Hollandaise and creamed spinach. If you have room, lemon meringue pie, chocolate cake and berry cream crunch piled high with whipped cream are extravagant double-portion desserts.

Overpriced....... I've had good steaks, but this just seemed way overpriced for the taste.

User review by samack. A great food experience. Imagine my surprise 3 weeks later when I opened the hood of my car back in Toronto and found a parking ticket. The valet had parked my car on the street, the car had been ticketed and I was never advised of it. I was put to a lot of time, touble and expense calling Parking Sevices in Buffalo, the restaurant and the Hyatt until it was resolved and they paid. Never an apology. Leaves a sour taste.

How much -does- service cost?. Normally I avoid the higher-priced dining options in favor of more casual affordable restaurants, but on several occasions I find it appropriate to chuck out the $120 or so it costs to take a couple friends out for drinks and steaks.

First, the service. Friendly, yes - but in a trained-to-be way. Just don't take it personal when the waitress seats you and has to deal with 12 other tables before yours and you'll do fine.

The food is amazing. Always worth 3/4 of the bill, which is still more than most want to shell out on dinner. Still, I'm always happy to pay - I feel it is more of a contribution to this landmark than anything else. And Jackie is as charming as they come.

BIG PORTIONS, BIG WAITS. The atmosphere is nice, though you don't want to sit by the windows if possible, since they leak cold air during winter months.

We went in and it took us easily 15 minutes after being seated before we got a waiter, another 15 minutes to get our drinks, and 40 minutes between salad and main course. Even worse, we waited another 25 minutes with leftover food before getting our check. When it takes a restarant 3 hours to get you in and out for a meal, they should pay you...

The Greatest Steakhouse in All Buffalo. I have gone to EB's numerous times and each time there is food better than great, the most friendly people and the top-notch entertainment provided by Jackie and Joe. It is in a league of its own. You don't find great food and classic entertainment like this anymore which makes EB's truly unique.

Poor service and cold food. Granted is was Valentine's weekend a few years ago but we waited for 45 minutes after ordering and then when it was served is was cold.

The server was told but didn't seem to mind.

A letter written the next day was ignored.
