Best BBQ North of the Mason Dixon Line. Give your diet the night off and definitely have dinner at this place! Incredible barbequed pulled pork, baked beans, corn bread, and - if you're really in the mood for splurging on calories - homemade mac 'n' cheese. With a cosy, welcoming atmosphere, Fat Bob's is a great place to visit when you're in the mood for some good old fashioned comfort food.

Hip atmosphere, friendly service and luscious barbecue cooked for hours in an eight-foot smoker make Fat Bob's a favorite.. The Scene
Some of Fat Bob's success is due to its location in a former stable between Allen and Virginia, but most of its success is due to its genuine, Texas-style barbecue. Half bar, half restaurant, patrons dine elbow to elbow at small tables on mouth-watering Southern specialties.

The Food
Fat Bob's down -home delicacies include comfort-food staples like catfish fingers, cornmeal fried rock shrimp with Cajun mayo and Texas chili. Combo platters offer a selection of savory smoked chicken, pork ribs, beef brisket, grilled BBQ chicken or pulled pork, served with tasty sides like sweet-potato fries, collard greens, cornbread and hush puppies. Sandwiches like the fried catfish or pulled pork with two sides are a real steal.

I LOVE BBQ. This place has great food, I am a huge fan of pulled pork. The hush puppies are the best I've had outside of the south, and the mashed potatoes are great. The only drawback is the prices - it keeps getting more expensive every time I'm there. But the atmosphere is fun and the service is always great. This used to be my favorite BBQ place until I ate at One Eyed Jack's in Lockport; lacks some of the ambiance, but the food is much better and price is better.

Expensive .. But Tasty. Cool eatery, VERY tasty food, decent service ... BUT EXPENSIVE and SMALL PORTIONS. I love the food here and hate the price ......................
