I'm so unhappy with my experience @ Hair To Go Natural that I woke up @ 2am just to write this review because I can't stay asleep. First off I hate talking about people...I think it's mean and believe me I would love to tell them my opinions before I publish it but like I said...I can't sleep. A few things are wrong with this place.
My appt was @ 10am with Althea...I was seen @ 1146am. The stylist were dressed in sweats and their own hair wasn't done. I wanted a relaxer in my short hair and she tried talking me out of it which I can appreciate but when my hair didn't turn out looking good she started to say "I told you not to do it" blaming me....really? I didn't want her to cut it but when it was looking a hot mess so I told her to do what she had to. Then she scolded me for not telling her how I wanted it styled before she put me under the dryer. I'm 23, new to NY so I have gone to different places to get my hair styled and never have I left looking so bad that I didn't want to stay and get fixed because I was already sitting for such an ungodly amount of time. This hair dresser was acting like she didn't know how to do hair. She started blaming it on the fact that we need to build a client hairdresser relationship....No, how bout you just do my hair and not have it look a hot mess. She showed me my head and I looked like Jimmy Neutron...yes the cartoon character. I wanted to cry. I know she knew it looked bad too and she still showed it to me like it was exceptable...almost like she wanted to rub it in my face that I should have listened to her and not have gotten the relaxer. I felt like the other stylist were looking at my head thinking, "what did she do"...it wasn't all terrible though.
A nice older woman offers free facial treatments if you wait forever like I did and on Saturdays a woman will come in with free coffee. But I didn't go there for coffee or facials. I went for my hair which I fixed to look semi cute as soon as I got home. Never again will I go there.
O one more thing. The woman doing my hair is the owner and she kept answering the phone to make appts while she was doing my hair which probably added an half hour...please get a receptionist! I left about 4pm...a grand total of 6 HOURS in a shop for some shottie looking hair. Please note some of the other stylist did their thing I just wasn't happy with mine or the experience. I don't wish my experience on anyone. I hope they read this and not get angry but fix these problems for their future customers and no I won't be one of them. Cross me once shame on you, cross me twice...Ahhhh now I can go to sleep.
Pathetic. 2 thumbs and 2 big toes way way WAY down. First off, this is NOT, I repeat NOT a natural hair care salon. These women do kinky twist and OTHER natural looking styles. My stylist, Lashawn actually used BLUE MAGIC in my hair... BLUE MAGIC!!! Needless to say that was appalling in itself. The owner, Althea has the nerve to tell me that Buffalo is country which is why they don't have or use salon quality product ! ;-0... seriously UPS and FEDEX deliver sweetie and you can order product from all over the world. I should have no better when I asked her if her hair was natural she said, " i'm just faking it!" As for me being natural for 7 years that should have been the red flag. On top of everything else Lashawn left the shop 3 times, and I got there before 9 and did not leave until 6pm!!! terrible! I would argue that these women started doing their friends hair and all of a sudden they consider themselves natural hair stylist... I true TRUE natural hair stylist uses great product and does not leave your hair looking a hot mess...I would rather wear my hair all over my head then EVER go back there again...what is sad though is that they will stay in business, more then likely there are not more options in the area.... TRUE SHAM,,,,TRUE SHAME....
Best in Buffalo. I have been a loyal customer since they were on Allen St. I LOVE the new location on Main St. Their prices are competitive and they do great work. When I started going there my hair was very short. I was tired of going to peoples houses getting my hair done....I went to Hair to go Natural and decided to give twists a try, LOVED IT! I have dreads down my back, thanks to them. Whenever it's time for a retwist, this is the ONLY place I go. Also, the interior is BEAUTIFUL inside. Very upscale.
Best braid job i have ever had. I'm a new customer to their location downtown. I got my hair braided and i LOVE it. very professional, not a long wait and my braids are tight and have lasted a long time. i highly recommend them!!
Kinky Twist the beast i have ever seen. I have kinky twist done by a girl named Fatima, they are the best i have ever seen and everyone in school loves them. They are tight, seem that they will last, done quickly and i love them. The price was fair and i will soon be returning.
oh happy Hair. Don't believe me, believe my Hair, feels good, looks good, and the compliments tell me what I already know , and that is Hair to go is the place to get it done!!! Love it. Love it Love it!!!
Hair To Go Natural. I am a faithful customer of Hair to Go, I have been going there since they opened their doors on Allen St. back in '96. Now that I have relocated to another state, I still go back twice a year to get my hair done. I have not found a stylist in my new home town that does the quality of hair that you would find at Hair To Go.
cool operation. went for human hair braids, i was quoted $160 with me bring my own hair and that is what they charged me...received a beautiful head of neat even braids done by Stylist name LaShawn...beautiful salon, they make you feel special
will ruin ur hair. Getting my hair done here was the worst experience of my entire life. After removing the braids they put in almost all my hair fell out. They dont care about the well being of your hair dont go there. They are awful, unproffessional, and have ruined the heath of my hair BEWARE
