Poor Customer Service. I called Salon Rouge this afternoon with a request to speak to the owner before booking my service. The receptionist, Mark, told me that the owner was busy in a disgruntled and hostile tone. I inquired if it is better to e-mail the owner and Mark replied, "NO, you're going to have to call back!" I asked if there was a more convenient time to reach the owner and Mark replied, "you're just going to have to keep calling back because he's busy, all day with customers!" Not only did Mark treat me discourteously but his unprofessional; nonchalant tone left an impression on me. The poor customer service is a factor in my refusal to patronize Salon Rouge. First impressions speak volumes. Further, Mark had no idea that I was looking for a local spa to write a beauty piece on and asked to speak to the owner so that he could recommend a service and therapist.

Awesome Salon. Salon Rouge is not only a trendsetting Salon, but a warm, friendly place to go for your beauty needs. Everyone is very attentive, professional and friendly. They take their time to be sure you have gotten exactly what you wanted. My 2 teenage daughters and I go there and have been very satisfied. And we all know how hard it is to satisfy a teenager.

I'm sorry you were not satisfied. I am sorry you had a bad experience at Salon Rouge. We take great pride in giving our customers the best service at a competitive Elmwood Village price. The owner and staff go above and beyond to make sure all of the clients leave with a satisfying salon experience. If there is a client who isn't completely happy, we will do our best to attend to their needs. At Salon Rouge the customer's experience is always our top priority.

Horrible Place!!!!!. I went to this salon thinking that since it was on Elmwood Avenue that they would be more modern etc. I was visiting my family and my regular salon is out of state. I actually took a picture with me just to make sure that there ws no misunderstandings. What I wanted and what I got was very different. I did not get the owner but I got a woman who clearly did not know what she was doing. She hacked away at my hair and it was ruined. She did not listen to one word I said and she acted like she was so knowledgable about style. This place is just crappy. Do not waste your money or your time here.

Terrible! Beware!!. At first, I thought this would be a lovely salon to go to. The owner, Andrew, seemed very welcoming on the phone and understanding that my long hair was something I cherished. Let me stress, WAS!! He hacked away at my hair into this hideous Elvira looking mess! Two days later, as I write this, I still get teary eyed thinking of how long this is going to take to grow out. I've searched through my hair for the pieces upon pieces of short hair that has GREATLY reduced the natural thickness of my hair. I don't understand why someone would cut away so much to remove natural volume, only to make short pieces to ADD volume!? I'm trying to cope with this haircut and I can't. I'm considering going to another salon for tips on how to feel confident as it grows out. I'm absolutely, positively devastated with this haircut. I regret ever going to Salon Rouge OR sitting in Andrew's seat. I can't believe how he hacked my beautiful thick hair into an awful POOFY mess!!!

A great salon!. I have been visiting this salon for many years and have never left unsatisfied. My hair is always cut exactly as I request and exceeds expectations. And, I am constantly changing my hair, updating it to the latest "in" styles. They are very accomidating and carry a wide range of products. I have also received other hair services, waxing, mani & pedicures. A great salon & highly recommended!!!

Abusive treatment, hideous haircut, dispicable service. I entered this salon, which now goes by the name of "salon rouge" with long , thick locks that had taken 3 years to grow out, and had been intended to be donated to locks of love sometime in the near future. The owner. Andrew Brown who was both arrogant and overflowing with anti-semetic banter, gave me the most hideous hair cut of my life. Assuring me he would snip minimully, this fool hacked out huge chuncks of my hair thinning it out to nearly nothing, and leaving my ends awully uneven. When I callled the next day to request he do something to correct this, he scolded me, and then hung up on me. Consumer beware.
