Ulrich Tavern--better on the inside than on the outside.. From the outside looking in, this place looks like a dump. Once inside, the decor is OK. The food and service, however, were very good! My dining partner had a haddock fish fry--which tasted great! The coleslaw was the best we've ever had. The french fries were a bit bland. I had a ham/swiss sandwich with beer sauce. It definitely has a unique taste and the homemade potato chips were wonderful. Our server was unusually attentive and friendly. Finally, prices were about 10% higher than what you'd expect elsewhere, but given the paucity of dining choices in the immediate area, it was worth it.

Not for the Affected. What a terriffic piece of Buffalo. Laid back and relaxing. The food is wonderful and the service is very good. Wide variety of German beers. The waitress gave us a description of each beer before we ordered.
