This may be minor league baseball's Buffalo home, but this beautiful ballpark has major league perks..
The Scene
In 1988, the Mayor and local business leaders built a replacement for Buffalo's War Memorial Stadium (more affectionately known as the "rockpile") in anticipation of welcoming major league ball to the city. The result? A minor league heaven.
The Best
Given Buffalo's waning economic fortunes, the majors never came, but the resulting ballpark is a beauty with a 20,000-plus capacity, incredible sight lines and easy access. The AAA Bisons (a Cleveland affiliate) are always a treat to watch and pack in the crowds.
The Rest
Pettibones Grille is a full service restaurant running along right field. It covers all the culinary bases from Oyster poor boys to Greek pasta. But, if a baseball game just doesn't feel right without a ballpark dog, there's fantastic hotdogs in the concourse along with roasted peanuts, beer and other ballpark goodies.
