the best kept secret.
the best small restaurant in western new york ! All the food was excellent !!
They are a small resturant and patience is a virtue ! The complainers need to realize that Amici is the best but small and reservations mean something but some people are like the thing that wouldnt leave and the rudness is not Amici but the customers because they all love it there !

Classy yet comfortable, loyal crowds keep coming back for this restaurant's authentic Sicilian cooking..
The Scene
Back when it was only one crowded room, Amici's soundtrack was Italian pop with operatic overtones, owner Orazio's favorites from the tip of the boot. Now much more than a pizza parlor, and expanded to two rooms with linens and a busboy, this restaurant is like dress-down Friday: casual and comfortable with a touch of class.
The Food
Amici's lengthy menu of authentic Sicilian dishes still includes the much-loved thin-crust pizzas, both red and white. Meat and vegetable toppings, some hard to find elsewhere, are generously piled on the pies. Lasagna, manicotti, and veal and chicken dishes are also highly recommended, but the Amici-style white pizza with tomatoes, four cheeses, garlic, onions and anchovies is not to be missed. For a perfect meal, share a mountain of antipasti beforehand and finish with a plate of spumoni.

What happened???. We WERE frequent customers of this neighborhood restaurant, good food and friendly service. We noticed a trend toward inattentive service but continued to patronize the local business. Last weekend we made a reservation only to have the hostess remove our name from the list without seating us! That was just the beginning. Our waitress promptly informed us she was having a "bad" night, not something to tell the paying customers! We ordered three bottles of wine and none were in stock, finally settled for an unfamiliar bottle and had to ask to taste it! Twice we were served the wrong food. Never an apology from anyone. Needless to say, this was our last visit.

amici -a family place. Amici means friends resturant, and this is the place where friends can gather and get a real family-style Italian meal. Don't be confused; sometimes the simpler the food the better. Manga!
