Some good choices on the menu.
I eat here with a friend of mine, and they make a lot of money on me. I always start off with a salad. They have baby spinach and it is usually really good. It's hard to get a spinach salad in Buffalo for less than $6.00, that is oe dollar for the contents, and five dollars for the wording on the menu describing a pile of spinach, onion tomatoe and dressing.
I'll have a salad, a few pieces of fried chicken. it's pretty good and usually nice and crisp and not too greasy; some corn and a piece of cornbread I'll grab some hush puppies if I see them and that's about it for me. I always pay the extra fee for soda and coffee. It's 2 bucks extra for the beverage bar.
The foods ok, and not my first choice but my friend loves it there and we usually wind up there once every 2 months.
If you've never been before, you'll see some people that can pack it away in this place.
Old Country Buffet--lots of good.
My family and I have eaten here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's very clean and both children and adults will find lots of food items to enjoy. Children will love the mac & cheese, pizza, and desserts. Also, the food, especially the meat and fish, are fresh and cooked just right. I like the salad bar, especially the cukes in vinegar salad, potato salad, and spinach salad with honey dressing.
We receive coupons in the mail (Clipper Magazine and Valupak) for this restaurant, so it's always good value for the $$$.
Two negatives: There is usually a wait at the entrance because it seems to take the cashier a while to deal with everyone's payments. Also, some parts of the restaurant are a bit drafty--try not to sit in the section near the salad bar and exit. [The section by the south wall (dessert section), however, is fine.]
Self-service restaurant satisfies budget-conscious families with all-you-can-eat, all-American home-style cooking..
In Short
A strip-mall mainstay throughout U.S. suburbs, this buffet-style restaurant caters to ravenous families who pay a flat per-head fee for all the comfort food they can chow down. Serving stations present everything from fried chicken to shrimp scampi, macaroni and cheese to steamed veggies. A do-it-yourself dessert bar allows diners to make their own sugary indulgence from a supply of brownies and cakes, syrupy toppings and multiple flavors of soft-serve ice cream.
