Daffodils is making a comeback. After a transitional period of changing ownership and a couple of chefs over the last year or so, Daffodils is on the road to recovering its reputation for elegant dining with fantastic food and service. I was recently there for a weekend meal with my husband and we couldn't have had a better experience. The attention to detail was obvious by the attentive service we received throughout our meal by everyone from the host to the busperson and the server. The menu is varied and filled with items you will not find anywhere else. We are glad to see Chef Scott Donhauser back in the kitchen and its obvious he has a hand in every dish that comes out to the dining room. We will definitely be back and spread the good word!

The Worst Restaurant in Buffalo. To me, Daffodils is the worst restaurant in Buffalo. I was recently there for lunch. The service was slow (2 hours to get out of there). The server had no knowledge of the menu. They were out of many items. The menu was out of date. But, the food was the worst part. Terrible food (cold, poorly conceived, plated). If people think today's Daffodils is the same as it's reputation from 20 years ago, they are wrong. This place is horrible. The quality is low, the service stinks, and the prices are bloated. Never again.

Perfect Ambiance. I can't picture a more romantic setting for a

fine dining experience. The many interior rooms

offer elegantly luxurious settings. The staff is

attentive, without being conspicuous and the

menu is varied enough to provide elegance

for every palate.

Not Family Fare. Not sure how this got categorized as family fare. This is a nice romantic restaurant for grown ups. This is not the place for kids, especially younger ones. Pricey and the food is only average, but the ambience is worth the extra price on special occassions.
