A neon-lit trip back to the Eisenhower era comes with burgers, shakes and fries..
Vintage Coca-Cola ads and posters of Life magazine covers succinctly summon up the 1950s, as do this diner's mini-jukeboxes, red vinyl counter stools and sock-hopping staff. Besides fast food staples like hot dogs, cheeseburgers, tuna melts and onion rings, options like the Streamliner (a grilled veggie patty) acknowledge more modern dietary concerns. Even better for kids, sandwiches come wrapped in paper jackets and nearly everything is served on paper plates. No spills. No breaks. No tears.
This retro-50's diner is way better than you would expect from a chain restaurant located in a mall. Simple burger and fries menu stacks up against anyone, and completely outclasses most of its rivals, such as Applebees and Ruby Tuesdays.
The waitress gives you a handful of nickels that allow you to play tunes on the old-fashioned table top jukeboxes. This is fun, but there is a strong chance that your songs won't get played for several hours after you have already left. It doesn't matter, though. The same 15 songs get repeated ad nauseum anyways.
Johnny Rockets. Really nice, relaxing atmosphere. We really enjoyed it although I feel it is too expensive. For us it's just a treat.
expensive fast food. I hate johnny rockets, the food is just the same as fast food restaurants excecpt you sit down and a waitress brbings it too you, and then you pay 10 extra bucks for it all.
Old Fashioned Delight. This place has to have one of the best burgers I have ever had. Served on a toasted egg roll, juicy and cooked perfectly. The fries and onion ring combo is on the small side. The shakes are a bit pricy but come in a variety of flavors and taste great.
1. My first experience at Jonny Rockets was defenatly tasty. We sat at the counter and could see the waiters and waitresses running all over. It was different to see them wearing roller skates. I liked it when they would join in the songs and sing every once in a while. I was glad I ordered chicken fingers because they were the best ever. I had to order a milshake too especially since I was eating at a diner. The strawberry banana shake was absolutly out of this world. I never knew diner food could feel like heaven.
The Greatest. Juiciest hamburgers I've ever had, and I've had plenty. Great atmosphere and very entertaining for the kids. We'll be back!
