Great Fish Fry! Friendly, Efficient Service!. I went into Gandy's and asked for a couple of fish frys. They come in Breaded, heavier, breading, Italian style and baked. Due to my husband's lack of a gall bladder, I asked if the baked would be done without dairy fat. I was assured that it would be, I recieved a really large piece of fish in its own light juices. The coleslaw was light. rye bread came with butter, or without. The noodle salad and potato salad were pleasantly flavored with dill, rich tasting but not overloaded with fat. All in all a very tasty dinner, and my husband was able to enjoy his dinner without any worries about his systembeing able to cope with it. The proprietor, Bruce, was very helpful and while we waited for our dinner to be cooked, I observed his helpful and pleasant attitude to other patrons who came in to pick up orders. He even walked one gentleman who used a cane out to his car and helped him place his order inside. There are 3 small tables and 7-8 chairs so one could sit down and eat, but it is mainly pickup and delivery. All the food that i saw others eating looked and smelled delicious.
