Love the Dakota!!!!. The Dakota is getting to be the place to be! The new nightly live music in the Cigar Bar and the Hookahs are a great touch. We love their steak sandwiches and the bar is one of the warmest places in Buffalo. Love the menu on the restaurant side when entertaining clients, but love the changes, ie- a magician named Alex that is unreal and great cigar selections and just really nice people that make it a home away from home!! Keep it going!!!!

Best overall in Buffalo, NY!!!!. Looks like an ordinary grill from the outside, but really diiferent than you would expect. Not many places left to enjoy a great dinner, drinks and then be able to relax in a cigar bar next door where you can have a cigarette or a cigar with a nice selection of single malts and more food! My wife prefers to just have a sip of her favorite martini in the main bar with her friends, while my friends and I have a smoke next door. Has to be one of the best rib eye steaks in NY and friendly owners and staff make you feel at home. Live music is pretty damn good too, since you can still carry on a conversation and listen at the same time. A well kept secret that is my favorite all around place because it never gets too loud or over crowded.

Best steak in a long time!!!!. Friends recommended this. I always thought it was a burger place. I must admit it is much nicer than I thought it looks from the highway. I get to eat out every night and I put this place with the best of them. Warm environment with very friendly & courteous staff, but the Cowboy Ribeye Steak is probably the best steak I have ever had. Excellent wines and when the chef came out to talk to us I couldn't believe how normal & warm they made us feel. Evidently new owners, great managers and great martinis make this my new place to enjoy great food, good people & a good smoke next door. Highly recommend the duck as well!!! Oh, almost forgot, we were there on a Friday night and they had a great band next door that was latin style, bouncy danceable. Very pleasant surprise! Nice bartenders also!!

This posh little number is one of Western New York's hippest hot spots for fine dining and live entertainment.. The Scene
Owned by local music impresario Jerry Meyers, the Dakota is home to a bevy of Buffalo's finest jazz and lounge musicians. Meyer's runs his Rhapsody Records from the establishment and local jazz fans flock to the Amherst location for expensive drinks, an upscale atmosphere and a great contemporary menu. The crowd is mostly wealthy and older, so clean up first.

The Stage
Several years back, the Dakota earned a boatload of publicity as home to post-Sinatra crooner Michael Civisca. Civisca left the club in pursuit of national acclaim, but the Dakota still wows 'em every Friday and Saturday night.

While You're There
Located right next door to a multiplex cinema and a soda shop, Dakota Grill is a great place for a classy (and expensive) date.
