Tandoori's Discrimination. by G K. at InsiderPages

Contributor at Insider Pages

1) Seated in a function room with no heat, with another Indian family. Food was cold and lack of salt.

2) I have been to many restaurants all around the world that never

had such a great review as Tandoori's so I thought I try this

place, I was shocked to see discrimination towards indians in an

indian restaurant. The poorest quality of food in flavor for an

indian restaurant.

3) The only thing they are specialized in my opinion is

incompetence for a restaurant that supposedly to have such

great reviews. I am assuming this restaurant staff must have

wrote their own reviews.

4) They are the WORSE DEAL EVER.

5) I would NOT NEVER ever recommend them even if they are the

only indian restaurant left standing in this world.

excellent...awesome food and service

by FOOTMAN131 at Citysearch

Previously to visiting tandoori, I was not a fan of Indian food. We have eaten there twice in the last 2 months. I thought the quality and taste were excellent, as was the service. All of the servers were courteous, patient and not pushy at all. The highlight was the dessert, Golub Jamba. It was to die for. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Prices were fair as well.

rude waiter, mediocre food

by george321 at Citysearch

This was our first visit to Tandoori. The atmosphere and the food was mediocre. The curry was cold and watery.

The one redeeming quality: the bread was hot, crispy, and tasty.

The waiter, a non-Indian, who fit the sterotype of an obnoxious highschool jock, had a chip on his shoulder for some reason and served us plenty of thinly concealed disdain and attitude.

Well, that left plenty of sour taste in our mouths. We tipped a normal amount, but I wonder if we should have not tipped at all.

We won't go back there again, even if we get a different waiter. We don't need to pay to be treated like that.

  • Pros: good bread
  • Cons: service, curry

Good Food!

by devogrrrrl at Citysearch

This is another place I checked out while travelling - and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes Indian food and avoids chain dining. They start you off with a free "sample-sized" appetizer - a nice touch. The food is good, although I think the portions are relatively small for the price. If you're dining family style, I'd recommend at least one dish per diner - unless you are light eaters. You might want to throw in an appetizer or two to share as well. A funny touch is the rose they present to each woman at the end of the meal.

  • Pros: great food
  • Cons: somewhat pricey

Yummy food and great service, a little pricey for regular dining, best value for buffet

by strawbs0607 at Citysearch

I love Tandoori's lunch buffets. you get to taste a little bit of everything for much less than regular dining prices. The first time we went it cost almost $50 for a garlic nan(which is like a bread), a chicken fried rice, a chicken curry and a couple of beers. The advantage is that you can get the dishes cooked to your specification of spiciness, but if you go to the lunch buffet you can easily ask for a little dish of hot sauce to add to your food and it's the bomb. I think weekend lunch buffets are $12-$15 but if you go during the weekdays it's only $8.98 for the exact same items, and you even get free nan. All in all, the food there is awesome and the service is excellent, the staff are extremely friendly and attentive. I would definitely suggest trying the lunch buffet for first timers and once you figure out what kind of dishes you like then go for regular dining, the ladies get a fresh rose after dinner!
