You may not find better wings in Buffalo
by sabredrew
Many will compare Duff's to the much heralded Anchor Bar when talking wings in Buffalo. Though Duff's doesn't feature all the flash that AB does, it's a great local spot that has good food (and better wings than at AB in my opinion) at reasonable prices.
Wings here are meaty and dripping with sauce. The "medium" sauce here may be equivalent to what is called "hot" elsewhere. The blue cheese is tangy and tasty, and is the perfect compiment to the hot and spicy wings.
Service is attentive and friendly. Pretty much what you'd expect from a casual dining spot in this area.
The Amherst location on Sheridan Dr is close to both UB campuses, so expect a lot of students and other locals. The noise level can be high, and the atmosphere is decidedly drab, but it all works to make for a great local hotspot.
- Pros: Lots of locals, great wings, relaxed setting
- Cons: Noisy, not much atmosphere
FINGER LICKIN GOOD!!!
by cranedave
my headline is finger lickin good, not because these are the best wings, although they are, but they are sooo damn saucy!!!! if you love saucy wings, go here, great atmosphere, the amherst location is a little beat down, but the one in op or depew are full of cute watrisses, video games, and a great place to watch a sabres game. exelent place, dont miss out
- Pros: Great flavor, very saucy, crispy
- Cons: its all goood
Yes it's a local's joint - very good not great

Wings are very classic. Same as Anchor Bar for size. (small) Good value, a little 'extra' saucy. Very spicy, great value for the money. A no-frills place. Family friendly. Loud.
- Pros: Good quality wings
- Cons: what's with the new ratings med = hot, blah, blah, blah
until you eat duff's hot you are a wing virgin

This place beats Anchor, LaNova, Papa Jakes, all because it is the wing joint in buffalo. Locals come here and for over 25 years I have never had a bad meal. Friendly, quick service and don't let the line scare you , you will get in in under a half hour, it is worth the wait.
Beer, Hot Wings, Fries with Gravy, Salad with nothing cute on it, and Bleu Cheese that is the best. Between here for wings and Kentucky Gregs for BBQ, the best 2 joints in all of WNY!!!! Meticulous nerds need not come
- Pros: service - taste - lack of atmosphere
- Cons: getting too popular
Not Buffalo's best
by Steiff125
My family and I went to Duffs last month. I ordered BQ'd chicken fingers, they were disgusting! It was as if someone just poured an entire bottle of bad tasting BQ sauce on top of the fingers. I couldn't even eat them.
My husband didn't like the wings at all. Our daughter brought her college friend who never had buffalo wings before. But they both liked their wings. Not very reasonable either. Our bill came to over $50.00. This is not the first time we were there, we thought we would give it another try. At least now we know better.
I would not recommend this place.
you are taking a chance!!!

I would never sugggest anyone to visit this dump. Can't understand why people rave about this place. Ordered a salad, it was disgusting, then the Wings arrived, they looked and tasted that they were kept in the deep fryer from the Grand Opening many years ago.
Thanks but no Thanks
- Pros: NONE
- Cons: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
The Best Wings in Buffalo?
by EricBuffalo
Duffs is a Buffalo establishment, and in my opinion, the best wings in town. Sure, there are other great wings, but Duffs wings are big, juicy, relatively cheap, and the sauce...OH! Order 'em atomic and you're in for a treat. They have a great lunch special during the week that you can' beat. An the burgers are also some of the best in town! It's nice to have this in Amherst, but I can't help but think that an establishment like this should be in the heart of downtown. However, it's worth the trip.
- Pros: Maybe the best wings in town and the burgers are outstanding
- Cons: If anything, space and location
Great Wings
by zdawg77
Wings are great. Eating area isn't so nice, but the wings are GREAT. A hot, crispy wing (unbreaded) with a vinegar zing to it. Get them to-go.
- Pros: Wings taste AWESOME
- Cons: Cruddy dining-in area
Great wings in Buffalo Suburb
by pep11
We have come to Duffs for over 25 years. It is very unassuming from the outside and even more so inside ,but the wings are the reason you come here. The wings and fries are very good the service is quick and friendly.this is not a fine dining establishment, the salads are a bland mix of very white lettuces. The rest of the menu is boring.
It is agood place to take kids because you can get large pitchers of drinks. This also aplies to beer and wine and they are very reasonably priced. If you haven't eaten here before you may not want to try anything hotter tha the medium wings as they are very hot.
Good wings,Good dollar value
- Pros: Great food ,great service and real value
- Cons: noisy,waiting for seats
Best Wings Ever
by mreneew
Don't go here expecting candles and tablecloths (or even a clean floor), but do go here expecting to get the best wings anywhere. This is not a bar, this is not a "dining establishment" - Duffs has one purpose, and that is to serve the best wings ever. They do this amazingly well. As a transplant to Buffalo, I never really knew what good wings were, and I never knew what GREAT wings are until I went to Duffs. The wings are big, meaty, and cooked any way you want (I like extra crispy!). Bonus is the fantastic blue cheese and the french fries. LOVE hot, cripsy, skinny french fries. The chicken fingers are pretty good, too, but every thing else on the menu (except the beer) is marginal at best. I'm always amazed when the table next to me orders a side salad or a grilled cheese. Why bother?! This is the only leftovers I will eat. Way better than the Anchor Bar (which, I might add, is also a dump). Love, love, love Duffs! A must do for anyone visiting that craves wings.
- Pros: Wings, fries, blue cheese!
- Cons: You'll smell like chicken wings when you leave
