I have tried all the Indian restaurants in the Buffalo NY area. Moti Mahal is by far the best and most authentic. If you have never tried Indian food but have often wondered what it is like, Moti Mahal is the one for you. You have the choice of how much spice in your meal. Not every dish here is hot and spicy as one might expect. Many items on the menu are full flavored and are not flavored with curry as you might think. If you have never tried Indian food before, then please stop by, The lunch and dinner buffet are super and very reasonable in price.

Moti Mahal is a hidden gem that's worth a visit

My dining partner and I ate here today--the $8.95 lunch buffet was superb! Our table had a linen tablecloth, a fresh rose and some Indian bread and honey. The food was very tasty (my partner recommends the goat dish and I suggest the cauliflower curry), and there are several good chicken and vegetarian selections. Service was good and there was good value for our $$$.

• Pros: great buffet prices; great tasting Indian food
• Cons: It's easy to miss this restaurant when you're driving down Sheridan Drive.

Be Careful!!!!!

Well I read good reviews and went there to enjoy dinner, I ordered a number of items, I guess I appeared a rich guy and at the end when I got a check I was bit surprised if I have eaten for that much money but I never cared to look and paid. While I was walking out I requested the lady to show me the bill again and to my surprise the price of one of the item was incresed, since it was a Nan it actually got incresed four times and I just casually asked that this was not the price on menu she got scared and said O we just incresed the price and started searching for a menu where it shows up, off course there was no such menu. I felt awkward but still I said okay and walked out. While driving back home I felt cheated and I called them and said to them that they did it knowingly because I did appear to be a rich guy. She said sorry and wanted to pay me back. At that point I said I do not want that moeny but I am never coming back. I think that is a very bad business practice,
