Margaritas and affordable Mexican fare in a campy, family-friendly atmosphere.
by Katie Heffernan
In Short
Bright colors and big booths make this quick-service, sit-down Mexican restaurant a cheery choice for group outings. The traditional menu--including classic enchiladas, soft and crispy tacos, mesquite-grilled shrimp, sizzling fajita platters and made-from-scratch salsas--features lunch specials, create-your-own combinations and to-go options for more fast-paced patrons. Tequila makes its appearance in house margaritas and cocktails. Bringing the little ones? They're catered to with a kid-friendly, Tex-Mex menu.

Every experience at Don Pablo's, from the very first, has been exceptional. We love the people who work there! We've been to two Cinco de Mayo celebrations there, and more of our friends come back each time we've introduced them to our "home." Kudos to Jason Barrett fro having such a great crew!!

A Better "Windmill"
by town_plagiarist
Lots of people I have spoken to really like this northeastern restaurant chain, and think their Mexican cuisine is wonderful. Most of what I have eaten here though is just sub-par. Their beans and mexican rice, two fundamentals of any Mexican restaurant, are not palatable at all and they have no sense of the enchilada.
A positive is that their tortilla soup is VERY nice however...
My theory is that Don Pablo's prospers in areas where there is a dearth of good Mexican cuisine because it stands out as a tolerable example in those areas. But if you want a better Mexican restaurant, my windmill for this area is Coyote Cafe in Hamburg.
- Pros: Tortilla soup
- Cons: pricey for Mexican, unyummy except soup
